Double Day & Mexican Coke

I had been thinking about Mexican Coke for a little bit, especially after it was briefly mentioned on the latest Hammertime episode of Adventures in Design. I used to get it all the time at this gas station when I lived in Ypsilanti. I don;t think it was as popular back then because I only knew a couple places where you could get it, and it was always in old bottles. I remember one time going in and they had two different logo styles printed on the bottle, Pepsi probably had 5, and another 2 or 3 from Mirinda. Now it’s a lot more accessible, but there’s not really any more variety in the printing on the bottles.

This was a big thing for me, because even though Mexican Coke was the best. I was also, and have always been, interested in printed bottles. It seems like it would have to be such an interesting process. Especially the ones with very particular shapes. I collected them for a long time, but in recent years have parted with almost my entire collection. Only a few rarities and antiques remain.
